The ACS ACR1281U-C2 Card UID Reader (HID) is a compact and reliable contactless card reader designed specifically for fast and easy reading of UIDs (Unique Identifiers) from 13.56 MHz RFID/NFC cards. The reader supports ISO 14443 Type A and B cards, including popular MIFARE® and NTAG series from NXP.

Thanks to its USB-HID (Human Interface Device) functionality, the ACR1281U-C2 works like a keyboard: as soon as a card is presented, the UID is automatically sent to the connected system as if it were typed in. This eliminates the need for a separate driver or complex software integration - ideal for applications such as access control, attendance, visitor management and identification systems.

Two technologies, one solution

The ACR1281U-C2 reads both contactless cards (ISO 14443A/B, MIFARE) and contact smart cards (ISO 7816). This makes it perfect for access systems, eID applications, loyalty programs or identification processes in which both card types are used. This way you combine different applications at one workstation.

Robust, compact and reliable

The housing is sturdy and suitable for intensive daily use. Thanks to the fast USB connection, you install the reader directly via plug-and-play. It works with Windows, Mac and Linux and supports CCID and PC/SC. No additional drivers are required. Just plug it in and get started.
