The chip type refers to the technology and frequency at which the tag operates. Different chip types have different applications and properties:

125 kHz
This frequency is often used for simple applications such as access control and identification. It has limited reading distance and data capacity.

• T5577
  A programmable 125 kHz chip compatible with multiple protocols. Commonly used for access control where flexibility is required.

• EM4200
  A widely used passive 125 kHz fixed ID chip ideal for simple identification applications.

• TK4100
  An inexpensive and popular 125 kHz alternative for simple RFID systems such as key fobs or cards.

13.56 MHz – NFC / HF
This frequency is used for smart applications such as NFC, access control, and contactless payments. The tags operate at short ranges and provide reliable communication with smartphones and other readers.

• MIFARE Classic 1K

• MIFARE Ultralight

• MIFARE DESFire EV3 2K / 4K / 8K

UHF 860-960 MHz
