Fixed RFID reader with LTE for stand-alone industrial installations.
The Brady FR22 fixed RFID reader LTE EU is designed for fixed RFID applications where reliability, flexibility and stand-alone connectivity are essential. This version of the FR22 series is designed for industrial environments where no fixed network infrastructure is available or where maximum placement freedom is required. The integrated LTE module allows the reader to operate fully autonomously within production environments, logistics sites and remote installations.
Advanced UHF RFID engine for high performance.
The FR22 LTE is equipped with a new generation UHF RFID engine based on the latest technology. As a result, the reader reads and processes up to 1,000 RFID tags per second, even at high tag densities and complex reading environments. Support for the ISO 18000-63 EPC Class 1 Gen2 v2 standard ensures broad compatibility with common UHF RFID tags. With four RP-SMA antenna ports, the read field can be fine-tuned to specific processes such as passageways, production lines or storage areas.
Built-in LTE connectivity without dependence on local networks.
The distinguishing feature of this version is its fully integrated LTE connectivity. The FR22 LTE supports multiple LTE-FDD and LTE-TDD bands and communicates directly over cellular networks. This makes the reader deployable in locations without Ethernet or WiFi, such as temporary production sites, outdoor areas and mobile installations. In addition to LTE, the reader also supports Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB-C and GPIO, so integration into existing infrastructures is always possible. If required, the reader can also be supplied with power and data via Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3at).
Linux platform with web management and API integration.
The FR22 LTE runs on a stable Linux operating system and features a quad-core A7 processor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB flash storage. Through the integrated Web management interface, you configure and manage the reader completely remotely. Developers can develop their own web apps with user interface, eliminating the need for an external PC or tablet. Integration with existing IT and OT systems is via RESTful APIs, NUR API, OPC UA Auto-ID server and SSH access.
Modular and scalable design for professional applications
The modular design makes the Brady FR22 LTE suitable for diverse and scalable RFID solutions. The expansion connector lets you connect accessories such as the 16-port Brady MUX multiplexer, which centrally controls multiple antennas and reading zones. The compact housing, low power consumption and IP20 rating make this fixed RFID reader ideal for controlled industrial environments. The FR22 LTE is widely deployed in sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, energy, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure and high-tech industries, where reliable connectivity and flexibility are critical.
