Complete fixed RFID solution with LTE and multiplexer
The Brady FR22 LTE + MUX kit with 16 ports EU is a scalable fixed RFID solution for organizations looking to implement multiple reading zones in locations where fixed network infrastructure is limited or unavailable. This kit combines the Brady FR22 fixed RFID reader with integrated LTE and the Brady MUX16 multiplexer, allowing one central RFID reader to be used for up to sixteen RFID antennas within one uncluttered system.
Powerful FR22 LTE RFID reader as the central system heart
The FR22 LTE is the technical heart of this solution and is equipped with a new generation UHF RFID engine based on the latest technology. As a result, the system processes up to 1,000 RFID tags per second, even at high tag density and intensive use. Support of the ISO 18000-63 EPC Class 1 Gen2 v2 standard ensures compatibility with common UHF RFID tags within Europe and international applications. Built-in LTE connectivity allows the reader to communicate autonomously over mobile networks without relying on Ethernet or WiFi.
Expand to sixteen antennas with the MUX16
The Brady MUX16 multiplexer allows you to expand the number of supported antennas from four to sixteen. This allows you to create multiple reading zones with one central FR22 LTE reader. This is ideal for applications with multiple aisles, racking, production lines or inspection points. Working with one central reader keeps configuration simple and management clear, while significantly increasing RFID coverage.
Efficient installation with power and data via coax
A key technical advantage of the MUX16 is the unique combination of power and data transmission over coaxial cables. This eliminates the need for separate power cables per antenna, speeding installation and reducing cabling. The multiplexer is designed with very low signal losses, ensuring stable RFID performance and high efficiency across all connected antennas.
Linux platform with web management and API integration.
The FR22 LTE runs on a stable Linux operating system and features a quad-core A7 processor with 1 GB RAM. Via the integrated Web management interface, you configure and manage both the RFID reader and multiplexer centrally. Developers can build custom applications with modern programming languages and use NUR API, RESTful APIs, OPC UA Auto-ID server and SSH access for seamless integration into existing IT and OT architectures.
Designed for scalable industrial applications
The Brady FR22 LTE + MUX kit is designed for fixed installations in controlled industrial environments. With an IP20 rating, support for Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3at) and a modular design, the solution is suitable for long-term professional use. The kit is applied for asset tracking, inventory management, inspection labeling and RFID labeling within sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, energy, healthcare and high-tech industries.
