Programming NFC tags
There are ways to program NFC chips:
- With a smartphone (Apple & Android).
With the application ''NFC Tools,'' you can easily program NFC chips using a smartphone. Download the application from the Apple or Android Store. On Apple devices, you can additionally choose to program NFC chips via the ''Commands app.'' to program NFC chips.
- With an NFC Writer
You can connect this device to your Windows computer with a USB input. With the accompanying software, you can program NFC tags. Using an NFC-Writer is faster, more versatile and easier compared to a smartphone. On the other hand, programming with a smartphone offers a lot of flexibility because you can use the app wherever you are.

What are NFC cards?
NFC cards are PVC cards with small chips that can wirelessly exchange information with NFC-enabled devices, such as smartphones. They are commonly used for contactless payment, access systems, and data sharing.
How many bytes do I need?
It depends on what you want to store. The NTAG213 has 144 bytes of usable memory space, which is usually enough for URLs. For vCards (digital business cards), and short text messages, we recommend using the NTAG215 (444 bytes) or the NTAG216 (888 bytes).
How can I program NFC cards?
You can easily program NFC tags with an NFC-compatible smartphone and an appropriate app, such as "NFC Tools" or "NFC TagWriter." Open the app, choose what you want to write, hold your phone against the tag, and done!
Which devices are compatible with NFC?
Almost all smartphones support NFC, including all Android devices and the iPhone 7 and newer.
How do I secure NFC cards?
You can secure NFC cards by locking them after you write the data. This prevents others from changing the information. Many programming apps, such as NFC tools offer an option to lock tags.

Yes, you can program an NFC tag multiple times until you lock it. After that, the tag cannot be changed.
How long does an NFC card last?
An NFC card usually lasts for years, depending on how often you use it and environmental conditions.
